Surface treatment by wet paiting
Fical, Karel ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
Protection of various coating materials is today very important, both in terms of aesthetic, functional and, especially corrosion. Corrosion annually causes significant damage to metal structures and degradation of material can cause a total damage of the parts or the whole structure. When appropriate choice of coating materials can suppress the corrosion and its manifestations delay up to several years. Today, the protection of organic material coats the most common way and takes 80 to 90% of all coatings. When selecting paints and their subsequent applications we care about the material properties of the edit, its functional use, the environment in which they will be located and the properties of paint itself. To achieve satisfactory properties, it is necessary to create a technological process for the specific case.
Cutting tool preparation before coating
Musil, Michal ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarizes importance and advantages of surface preparation before coating process. Next part of this work analyzes an influ-ence of surface preparation before coating process on tool geometry, tool life and cutting performance. Experimental part brings a comparison between mi-cro-finishing by mix of SiC particles and walnut shells and ion cleaning tech-nology that by the help of Ti or Ar ionts. The 6 mm twist drill made from high speed steel has been chosen as the sample for experimental works. There are describe the advantages of preparation of tool cutting edges before coating, especially the micro-finishing and ion cleaning, and their positive effects on geometry and performance of tool at the end of the work.

Title: Photoconductivity, photoluminescence and charge collection in semiinsulating CdTe and CdZnTe Author: Jakub Zázvorka Department: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: prof. Ing. Jan Franc, DrSc., Institute of Physics of Charles University. Abstract: Cadmium telluride and its compounds with zinc are the material of choice in spectroscopic room temperature high energy radiation detectors. The development of the final device is influenced by many parameters, including material impurities and defects, homogeneity and surface preparation. This thesis offers a comprehensive investigation of the detector fabrication process and of the parameters and physical effects influencing the spectroscopic resolution and performance of the detector. Structure of deep levels is investigated through photoluminescence and correlated with other electro-optical measurements dealing with the impact of structural imperfections of the material and their effect. The influence of resistivity and photoconductivity homogeneity on the detector performance is studied through electrical measurement of the charge carrier transport and charge collection of the sample. Obtained results are explained using the Fermi level shift theory and confronted with a theoretical model and calculations. The...
